My parents are not together, never were. I also found out that I have half brothers from my biological father, who happen to live very close by. All, my parents and my biological father, are now gone. They’ve always been close friends and my dad was pretty much the only black guy in town when I was born. There was never any doubt in anyone’s mind that I wasn’t his. Wondering who my biological father was, what he looked like, and if he would want to know that I existed. Only last year, DNA led me to find that sister, whose father, it turns out, was not my dad.

My mother had a long term affair with the man who was my biological father. I genuinely believe that I have the best dad in the world. I went from being an Irish/Native American proud of my heritage to nothing. My siblings knew about this and my sister finally told me. I found out about 2 years ago (at the age of 49) that my father is not my biological father. My dad never saw the child but agreed to sign papers allowing my mother to put her up for adoption. This isn’t a case of infidelity. But I found out the my dad is not my biological father. I don’t know what to do.
